FEATURES ...

Designed for:  67-76 A-body, 62-74 B-body and 70-74 E-body chassis.

Primary tube size:  2" O.D.

Secondary tube size:  2-1/8" O.D.

Collector size:  3-1/2" with 3" 3-bolt flange.

Flanges:  3/8" thick, laser-cut, contoured for a leak free fit.

Material:  Constructed of 16 gauge mild steel tubing.  Mandrel bent on sophisticated computer controlled bending machines for precise fit and uninterrupted exhaust flow. The mandrel bending process maintains a constant inside diameter of the tube for a smoother finish with no restriction of flow and no crimping of the tubes.

One piece design:  One piece header tubes / No slip tubes.

Under chassis design:  Above the steering center link design offers maximum header to ground clearance.

Full length header design:  Proven power gain vs. shorty design.

Recommended horsepower:  600+

Torsion bar removal:  Not required on B & E-body applications.

Header set includes:  Header gaskets, 12 header bolts, header reducer adapters with 3-bolt gaskets & hardware.

~  Our headers were designed to fit with the engines located to the factory specifications.  If the engine is not located correctly in the chassis, the headers will not fit properly.  We strongly suggest you check your engine location prior to installation.

~  Due to various manufacturing designs, aftermarket parts, engine configurations, suspension combinations, etc... TTi cannot ensure headers and exhaust systems to fit all combinations.  However, we have done our best to accommodate both factory and aftermarket component combinations.  In some cases, slight modification or repositioning may be required on your part to clear the specific situation.

67-76 A-body applications with a stock front suspension, using Edelbrock Victor, Procomp or Stage 6 cylinder heads, will require using a motor plate to locate the engine.  Header will not clear engine mounts.

Cylinder Head Studs:  Head studs may be used on the Passenger-side, however, the header tubes will not clear the cylinder head studs below the #3, #5 and #7 cylinders on the Drivers-side.  We recommend ARP bolts for clearance in these areas.

Spark Plugs:

STRAIGHT or ANGLED

Headers are designed with adequate plug clearance for angled plugs.

Front Suspension:

STOCK with torsion bars.

COILOVER without torsion bars:  RMS Alterktion, Magnumforce XRT Tubular or Control Freak IFS.

Steering Linkage:  OEM with torsion bars or Rack & Pinion without torsion bars.

(!) Headers will not clear UniSteer Performance Rack and Pinion.  [See FN33 for clearance dimensions]

67-76 A-body applications:  Headers will not clear Firm Feel fast ratio pitman & idler arm.  The Firm Feel arm is 3/4" longer than the stock arm.  (The OEM arm measures 5-1/4" from center to center)

Engine Mounts:

OEM, Schumacher Creative Services or equivalent.

67-76 A-body applications with a stock front suspension, using Edelbrock Victor, Procomp or Stage 6 cylinder heads, will require using a motor plate to locate the engine.  Header will not clear engine mounts.

Auto Trans:

Note:  Some applications with a floor shifter may require the adjustable swivel & the lower rod to be re-positioned to clear the header collector.  [See FN23 for illustration]

Keisler Tremec TKO-500/600 Transmissions:  It is imperative that the output-end of the tail shaft is in exactly the same position as the stock transmission output shaft for the headers to fit properly.

Flywheel:  10.5" 130-tooth ring gear & 11" 143-tooth ring gear.

Note:  440 applications with an 11" flywheel must use a RobbMc Performance starter, part #3005.

Clutch Linkage:  OEM

67-76 A-body applications:  A modified Z-bar will be required, sold separately part #ZB307.

    O2 Sensor bungs, Evacuation tubes and EGT probe fittings can be installed prior to coating headers.  Installation of these options are considered a "Special Order".  Please allow an additional 3-4 weeks for the special order work and the coating process.
